I want to find the best old fashioned thin crust pizza in the Des
Moines area. I'm tired of fancy pizza. I am tired of easy bake oven
pizza. I am tired of chain pizza. I am tired of standardized pizza. I
want a pizza made in an old fashioned metal pizza oven (stone oven pizza just doesn't do it for me) with simple
ingredients. We decided that we need to get something
specific so we had the correct sort of test. In this case one pepperoni pizza, one sausage pizza.
I have been at this for almost a year now. Everything here gets posted to my FB page as well. Feel free to comment, feel free to recommend a pizza place if you think it will fit my criteria.

You were willing to come all the way to Dubuque. If you're willing to go a little further, Manny's in Savanah, Ill might be the one. They are super thin, super crispy and very yummy. The place is the opposite of fancy but worth the trip.
ReplyDeleteDubuque was on the way on one of our trips. Looking at the map, Savanah isn't that far out of the way for a couple of place we tend to go. We may have to take a wander through. Thank you for the tip.
